Temazcal

      A temazcal is a type of sweat lodge which originated with Indigenous peoples in America. The word temazcal comes from the Nahuatl word temazcalli ("house of heat").  In ancient Mesoamerica it was used as part of a curative ceremony thought to purify the body.
It is currently being recovered by all sectors of society in that part of the world and is used as a cleansing of mind, body and spirit.
      The form of the Temazcal is usually a circular dome and represent a mother womb and simbolize a rebirth.
      The Temazcal is guide by spiritual medium- shaman. During the temazcal are used fresh plants for aromatherapy and hidrotherapy. The shaman gives massages to the people. It is great place for singing, having a visions and practicing meditation.
